Normaly the people can activate the game anyway.

Only the informing about the game is a bit difficult.

I have the "Rise of the Triad" Game but i am not sure if the Dark Waters is a different one (in my Library is only Rise of the Trial shown but here at the GA Thumbnail too.... so i am confused about that).
Did you know if it give a Rise of the Triads AND a Rise of the Triad: Dark Water or if that is the same game ?

I have a key from Fanatical for "Rise of the Triad" but I couldn't activate it D:

That said I had some keys from the GMG Charity bundle that I could activate despite getting that steamstore message.

I've read about some people doing that, but wouldn't I need to keep using it to actually play the regionlocked games too? Do you happen to know any comprehensive guides?

It give 2 or 3 types of game region censorship

  1. The Old games need a VPN for activating. Playing and all other working without a VPN
  2. Newer games need a VPN for activating AND you can play them IN THE FIRST 3 MONTHS only with a VPN connection
  3. Some strange new games needs VPN for activating and each play -i don't had this case by my own so only "rumors from friends" (i am not sure about the fact if this ones needs the VPN longer or the same time as 2.)

Easiest way: Activate them and wait 3 months till you play them. The most people have a big enough backlog for that step :-D

Rise of the Triad from Fanatical is a activate with VPN and play game. And the reason why they censor that pixel game shooter are normaly only the nazi symbols and because of the fact that enemys will shoot to flesh parts. The graphic is so old that such a move is only stupid (each new shooter game have more brutality in it and a more realistic style)

Yeah, usually violence or nazis are the reason why we don't get a game or only a censored version, I ran into that a few times, though I generally have little interest in games featuring the former, so more often than not I run into the latter.
