Description

Once upon a time I thought of summers as largely benevolent warm months when it was fun to be outdoors, watching people in their summer freedoms, thinking of parks and ice cream and long nights full of whispering promise. Sometimes I still think like that, but in between those periods it's just so damn hot alla time. Phew. When I was a kid we didn't have air conditioning, just a couple of clanky fans. How did we survive?

This is a new indie monster-training creature-collecting kind of thing. The name even sounds like, er, that other game, so I guess its influences are clear.

In fairness the present day summers are a different intensity than when we were kids. Thanks for the giveaway!

Your text resonates with me but then again I have changed in the last decades too so it's natural to look back and feel distant to those memories.

Fun fact: It might not be related to the name but taken from jisho.org:ドキドキ means "thump-thump", "bang-bang" or "to beat fast (of one's heart)".

I dunno, summer has always been a bit hellish where I live, specially January. I have early memories of spending christmas night locked inside with the AC on full blast because outside it was too hot to exist.
