Just a warning as I've seen people mention this in other giveaways but I've got all the DLC and the base game, which I think means that I've got the 'collection' but it's not registered as owned so I can still enter for it. Just a heads up! :) It's a great game that I put a lot of hours into, just don't expect to any jumping freedoms lol

Haha no worries, yes I agree! I'd have loved to have seen more games set in this world, the combat especially was probably its biggest strength, I haven't really played many open world games to compare it too but yeah the combat was a highlight.
the real shame is the fact that EA apparently thought the big fantasy author they had to pen the story (ironic that i forget who it was xD) was enough to go so hard and be so brazen about whoring the franchise out before it even found its fans, smh.
hmm off the top of my head i would recommend Dragon's Dogma for another epic open world ARPG, but mind that the combat in Amalur is much more fast-paced and comparable to something like God of War, whereas Dragon's Dogma is more like Monster Hunter + Souls games a bit

Project Copernicus was the main project set in the world of Amalur. Sadly, while trying to promote it via Kingdoms of Amalur, they kinda.. well, y'know, managed to go bankrupt because of crap sales and poor management (releasing it around the same time as Skyrim didn't exactly help either)
