It work because multiple sg users i would say around 30 buy each and every game at the shady RU stores and give multiple copies of them away. A big part with one or few GA's and a smaller part hide it better and make onle one copy each time.
In the end earn such devs alone from that $3.60 with each "game" and i am sure a lot purchase only 1 or 2 copies for themself and their alt accounts or give 1-2 copies at sg. I only focused myself on the hardcore abusers with around 30 people that give from each game 5-15 copies away.
I assume they use free assets and the work to make such a game are at under 4h -because always the same devs with other names do them, i expect they need under 1h for all-.
And if they need to pay assets then maybe $10 or something like that.
One dumb one that buy it at steam and don't know the refund system and they have a win.
900 customers at the ru stores and they have a win.
you can block / hide it on steamgifts, and blacklist the dev if they're on here.
on the steam store, find the little flag, and report it for copyright issues, or misleading content.
I noticed this new wave of crap has already been added to the no cv list. Has that been standard SG policy for a while now? I know similar things have been added in the past, but do you guys add such things as soon as you notice them or is it up to one person looking at tickets?
Just another day of people testing the vigilance of SG's mods, creating an influx of giveaways for absurdely priced games, thinking that the CV will not be retroactively adjusted. Not my case though, I'm here only because I saw an opportunity to conduct a small experiment, trying to identify some accounts that join these giveaways immediately after they're created, even though it costs them lot of points.
Oh, sensualshakti. I thought i find the "game" which is champion among same rubbish overpriced crap yesterday (from my last GA for 45!$), but this brilliant beats even "The Last Place". xD
So I don't remember entering this giveaway at all. I do open several giveaways in tabs and then quickly ctrl-tab through them clicking the enter button so I guess I must've mis-clicked with the middle mouse button during one of those runs and opened this giveaway by accident. I cleared my filter list a few months ago and I'm back up to 2230+ already.
You are welcome to re-roll if you'd like to catch someone who's scripting rather than just inattentive/dumb. Otherwise lemme know and I'll activate it and live with my shame. 😅
