Winner: Lennard Kämna
La Tour du Pin
One of the symbols of the city today is the Miron, a friendly green cat, who shows up in July during the festival of the same name. The miron is also the nickname of the Turripinois, the inhabitants of La Tour du Pin. In the Middle Ages, hemp was left to ret (macerate) in the Bourbre, the river which flows in the centre of the city. This preparation of the fabric attracted many rats and the population had the idea of adopting cats (“mirons” in local patois) to fight the invasion. The locals were then nicknamed “mirons” themselves. This is how cats became the symbol of the city. Today, Miron is also a confectionery made from nougatine, candied lemon, marzipan and praline with a chocolate coating
Lake Paladru
It was shaped during the Ice Age by the mighty Rhone Glacier. Six-km long and 1-km wide, it is the 5th largest natural lake in France. Located in the hollow of the Voiron hills at an altitude of 500 m, it has an ideal water temperature of 25 ° C in midsummer. The average depth is around 30 metres. With its beautiful turquoise color due to the presence of lake chalk, the lake is ideal for hiking, fishing and nautical activities. It also harbours archaeological treasures.
Chartreuse (liqueur)
In 1605, the Duke of Estrées gave the monks of the Charterhouse of Vauvert, in Paris, a manuscript revealing the formula of an elixir containing almost all of the medicinal plants of the time, whose origin is unknown. In 1737, the monastery of Grande-Chartreuse decided to make a thorough research on the recipe. Its apothecary, Brother Jérôme Maubec, was in charge of the task. In 1764, he finalised the formula for what became the Elixir of Grande-Chartreuse. Still used today, this elixir has a 69 ° rating.
In 1903, the Carthusians were expelled from France. They took away their secret with them and set up a distillery in Tarragona and then in Marseille until 1929. The monks then rediscovered the use of the Chartreuse appellation and resumed distillation in France, in their old distillery of Fourvoirie, near the monastery of the Grande Chartreuse. These buildings were destroyed in 1935 by a landslide. Manufacturing was then transferred to Voiron, where it remained until November 2017 before being moved to Entre-Deux-Guiers.
Today, the liqueurs are produced using the herbal mixture prepared by two monks at Grande Chartreuse. They are the only ones to know the secret recipe. The formula remains a mystery that modern methods of investigation have not been able to unravel. [Citation needed.]

Valverde from a break
Comment has been collapsed.
Bora will give it their all to make today's stage as hard as possible in an attempt to drop Sam Bennett and Caleb Ewan permanently and Jumbo-Visma would be smart to allow a breakaway to succeed today.
But who will win? Benoît Cosnefroy will likely be in the breakaway to grab more KoM points; could he do it? Nans Peters and Pierre Rolland are two other likely candidates.

Thanks Corran :)
