Description

One Steam Key for Stellaris ^-^

Good luck~

PS: In the rare case that a key has been deactivated due to it being purchased a long time ago or if it does not work for any reason you are obligated to give permission for deletion of the giveaway. If you don't agree with this, please don't enter the giveaway. This is to protect me from the drama that a few ppl/scammers caused in the past. It takes away from the fun of giving. Thank you for understanding.

thank you very much

Hello callmenyu.

support here. I understand what you're trying to say but I have to point out you cannot force the winner to agree to deletion It's against the rules of this site. To be clear; the winner is NOT obligated to give permission. You can ask of course and the winner can comply if (s)he wants to / thinks it's fair. .

Hi, thanks for your comment. I understand what you are trying to say as well, although they may not be obligated as per the rules of the site to give permission, they are also not obligated to enter the giveaway if they aren't one of the people who would understand the situation and react fairly to someone who is trying to do a good deed. If someone can not agree to this, I asked them to not join the giveaway.
I would hope that you could bring this up as a topic in the Support community of this site. There needs to be better protection for the ones who give away, after all, they are the ones keeping the site going and giving away even though there are other platforms to do so and there's no reward in it for them, only potential drama. By now I've seen several people putting disclaimers in their giveaways due to past events and at least to me that shows that there needs to be better protection. Unfortunately as of now, the site is only protecting the ones who win, this does not seem fair to me.

Yup, I understand what you're saying. This site does put a lot of responsibilitty on the shoulders of giveaway creators. But with good reasons; the result of it being >99,9% of all giveaways actually being delivered. That's crucial for a gifting community. In my experience winners generally understand and agree to deletion if there's something wrong with a key escpecially if you warn them beforehand. You could phrase it something like this: "If the key turns out to be invalid I'd appreciate it if you'd let me delete the giveaway."

You just cannot make a rule out of it, because why would this rule be acceptable and others (you must write a poem for me like my instagram post, click this referral link, vote person x and proof it etc etc) not... It's a slippery slope...

I've given away >2000 games/keys and I think I've had problems with faulty keys only once or twice. It was not difficult at all to talk to the winners about it. And even if they wouldn't agree to delete the giveaway, they simply would mark the game as not recieved. That would not be the end of the world, right?

Yeah, I get it, thank you for the example phrase, I may be using it in the future.
And yes it's true that most of the giveaways have no issues, it was the same for me for a long while. Unfortunately, a few months back I had an issue where someone has claimed the key wasn't working even though I had just revealed it an hour before from humble bundle and then marked as not delivered. But before they've done this, they have made it a huge drama on steam chat which has made me feel quite horrible. I even offered to give them a replacement game which was on their wishlist and more expensive because I had a key for it, but they still preferred escalating the situation. As a person who just wanted to make someone happy with a gift and expected happy vibes only this was a really bad experience and has still left me wishing that there was better protection for these admittedly rare cases.

Yes, it's not the end of the world if they mark as undelivered, but the drama is what I wish to avoid in the future.

sadly some people seem to like drama. Ignoring it is best most of the times. I hope this experience didnt ruin your time at SG and wish you a 1000:1 awesome/drama ratio! :D
