I'm thinking of buying the Oculus Quest 2, but I'm kinda scared of the whole story with Facebook ban... I already have a Fb account that I would use daily. But I was thinking of using SideQuest and the modded version of Beat Saber. Do you have stories of people getting banned for no reason, or for doing that ?
I literally just brought myself the cosmos elite. Was going to get a quest because I liked the portability, but I hate facebook.
Considering facebook's stance on modding in beat saber, I feel like you'll be more at risk of being banned if you try and use custom maps and stuff since you'll be using a facebook account and a facebook product. They really have been disliking the modding scene a ton and trying to disuade people from using it.

Thanks for your answer, but well, in the end your comment didn't deter me, I've just bought it. I don't like Fb either, but I also use it daily, so I feel like it wouldn't change much for me...

Fair, just keep in mind that if your facebook account gets banned for whatever reason, you will lose all your purchases and everything related to the quest and will have to start anew again.

That's what I was afraid of. At least, as my Fb account is legit, they couldn't ban me just like that. But I'll try to buy most of my games through Steam so that this is less of an issue.

Ah, I've heard of people getting banned for things like modding and all sorts without much reason so there's that.
But, have fun with it! And if you use steam then you'll be fine for sure ^^
