I haven't played the second one yet, but the first Toki Tori was just a cool little puzzle game - at least up to the point it got too hard for me to figure out the solutions. It's the kind of game where you might stare at a level for 20 minutes trying to figure out the proper steps to complete it, and then all of a sudden a lightbulb might go off. Lots of little steps lead to the final solution.
EDIT: I just read a review that said the second game isn't so similar to the first one, so maybe ignore all of what I wrote above and play Toki Tori 1 instead? ;-)
no problem. The first Toki Tori is often on sale for like 049 or at least less than $1 during the steam sales. I bought it during one sale just because it was cheap, but enjoyed it quite a bit from a puzzle standpoint.
