My bane. I was near the end and had to go back UK. Save did not sync from my old house PC, so I can't beat it until Christmas xD I don't have time to play 35h from scratch.
But game is really nice. If you can get past ugly graphic and sometimes archaic mechanics :D
Holy frekklesticks, that sucks. That must've hurt. I wouldn't find the effort either to start from scratch if I where you.
Edit: well untill christmas if you have some spare time then, I still wouldn't bother lmao :')

I had still 2 days of annual leave left, I sat down, started the game. And I'm in the starting area.
And I was like "God damn you Steam, you lied to me! I chose to use cloud saves! You said they are synced! I did not take them on my pendrive! You liar"
You should, the story is absolutely fantastic. But gameplay unfortunately is mediocre at best (well, the combat is), so I suspect you'll move even further into "not my genre" category after playing it lol. Still, the story is totally worth experiencing despite the gameplay shortcomings.
I was never a fan of the Baldur's Gate combat engine that this game uses. Fortunately, this game can be completed with minimal combat, and the story and setting are memorable enough to be worth it.
I must say, as much as love the game I cannot recommend it for everyone, it is dated, even when it was released combat was bad for its time and you really need to invest in it but if you can manage to look beyond its flaws and give it time; It can give you one of the greatest experiences in your life.
Anyone looking for a "modern version" can play Disco Elysium, It cannot replace it dont get me wrong but it is the only game who can capture me in it like PST did. Cheers and thank you hopefully winner will enjoy it!

It could use some human as a companion, in-game NPCs are not best with their IQ xD
