When I first joined, I thanked the GA for the chance, took awhile before I realized the more thanks I gave, the more blacklists I got. Newbie be newbie.

Qoute from SG guidelines:

It's not so much the thanking but the wording of it that tips people off to possible bots. IMO if someone blacklists you for thanking them for the GA without any kind of warning, that's just shitty behaviour. Like, I get that people get sick of it because it can fill up your notifs pretty quickly, but they should at least warn people.
