Just bought it and played it myself, it's nice and the soundtrack slaps.

Interesting choice to feature smoking so heavily. Not a smoker myself, but the social circles that it brings people into simply by way of a shared bad habit are somewhat fascinating (I also find the automatic social circles of religions similarly fascinating). My favorite game of all time features smoking simply because it's a mainstay of the film noir genre, and if it wasn't so unhealthy, I could see the appeal. I do drink coffee on occasion after all.
Thank you for the chance at a game/experience from a perspective I'm very unlikely to ever know! I'm curious if many of the interactions would be at all different without the little tobacco fires.

Yeah, but it fit the mood so perfectly in so many ways! I used to be a smoker, some days I'd smoke 40 a day, but that was during depressive periods. There's a part of the game where they talk about smoking and death, and I was like "Oh damn, that was my thoughts back then"
But as a smoker I used to ...less alone? I would always be able to have a quick chat with strangers, I liked that part.
Ooops, coffee on occasion, that is a habit I'm not going to get rid of anytime soon D:

The numbers per day stats from smoker (former and current) friends/acquaintances always astound me. I'm like: where do you find the time to even do anything! :D
And congrats on cutting the habit! We need to find something (besides Pokemon Go!) that brings random folks together for those unique encounters without being unhealthy (and without being ostracized by the general public)! :)

Smokers that can continue doing their jobs with a cigarette still in their mouth impresses me, I was never able to just let it hang there without feeling like I would suffocate or get the smoke in my eyes.
Thanks! I'm not missing the cigarettes, but the other nicotine product called snus I kind of miss every day. Still. Several years after quitting.
Oh no, I'm glad you did the "besides Pokemon Go!"-bit, because I went to one pokemon go-gathering the year it released, and damn was that a big cringe fest of people not talking :D
