and, what would happen if a person entered this one and won it? Would the key just be invalid?

sometimes that can happen, but the same thing can also happen with a game that is still available to purchase from steam store, keys can be revoked or got used by someone else
but usually the key works just fine and you will get the game in your library to install and play
it will not count towards you game badge thou, it will not add +1 to you account/profile

neat! So you can play a game that might not even be buyable anymore!

Also, would be see it in "bought games" though?

And, if it's no free, would it still count towards what this website evalutes your profile as worth?
