A cold night tonight, in a week of cold, which means we're finally on reasonable ground for winter weather. These last few years winter has not been cold in the old familiar ways, so it's almost shocking to find frosty nights. 2024 was still the hottest year on record, of course, but it's nice to have at least a reminder of cold winters past. I'm old enough to remember when the Hudson River froze most years, and New Yorkers could walk to New Jersey if they were risky and trusted bad ice. I remember cross-country skiers making their way down 14th Street in the blizzard years. We're not getting anything like that, but it is hot chocolate weather. (I was going to say it's coffee weather, but it's always coffee weather, for me.)
This is an old key, newly revealed, and should work like new. If you have trouble with it, please let me know.

I agree that coffee is suited to any weather condition! Haha. My little island off the coast of Australia is experiencing a mid-summer heat wave right now, so it's iced coffee today. I've never seen the snow, so I'm definitely feeling envious of your weather in lots of ways right now! Haha, well, the safe and comfortable cold anyway. Not the blizzards.

I was in Sydney and points surrounding for a couple of weeks of your winter/our summer once - it was chilly, even cold, but overall not what I think of when I think of winter. I mean, most houses have ventilation holes up under the eaves, which cracked me up. I enjoyed it, though it was odd to have a couple of weeks of cold season abroad in the midst of our very sweltering New York summers.
