I like this game's art, reminds me of some of Studio Ghibli's work.
Edit: Reading the game's Steam page for the first time I feel stupid now ...

Edit 2: To breath some life in the comments: If you want, feel free to tell me your favorite Ghibli movie.

great game, the game's animated scenes were actually produced by Ghibli
EDIT: now i was a hundredth of a second too slow

I like Ghibli's more childish aesthetics. Way too much super edgy, sexy, and dangerous design nowadays. Gratitude for white wrath.

While I don't really have a favourite movie, here is a video that I think fits.

It is a very good video, and the song fits perfectly with it.

My favorite is Whisper of the Heart. The director was being groomed to become the new head director at Studio Ghibli, but he died about 2 years after it came out from a brain aneurysm :(

I absolutely recommend the Manga (printed comic book) of Nausicaä Valley of the Wind. The story is much deeper and more meaningful than the movie adaptation, which ofcourse was a matter of runtime length. Maybe it's available for download?

Thanks for the recommendation. I will take a peek but most mangas are not my kind of art style. I tend to like the classic fraco-belgian style (Tintin,...) much more.

Man, its really hard to decide which is my favorite Ghibli movie. But if I have to really choose, I would go with Totoro, simply cause its the first one I ever watched, and brought me to all of them

I think my favourite has to be Porco Rosso, I just love the action and crazy aerobatics, (not to mention the interesting story).
A close second, and also cos of the cool art-style would be Princess Kaguya

Yup, although they didn't work on the sequel.
My daughter absolutely loves Ponyo, and I don't have too much experience with them myself.

I can do you one better: here's a ranking of all 25 pieces of Ghibli media I've consumed. I am a slightly excessive fan of theirs.

In any case:

  1. Nausicaa
  2. Princess Mononoke
  3. My Neighbour Totoro
  4. Whisper of the Heart
  5. Spirited Away
  6. Kiki's Delivery Service
  7. Castle in the Sky
  8. Howl's Moving Castle
  9. The Wind Rises
  10. Grave of the Fireflies
  11. Princess Kaguya
  12. On Your Mark
  13. Porco Rosso
  14. My Neighbours the Yamadas
  15. Ponyo
  16. Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro
  17. Pompoko
  18. Only Yesterday
  19. From Up on Poppy Hill
  20. The Cat Returns
  21. Arietty
  22. Anne of Green Gables
  23. When Marnie Was There
  24. Ocean Waves
  25. The Wizard of Earthsea
