Description

I often listen to talk radio around 3:00am. The night brings about all sorts of crazy people--they talk about aliens from Jupiter, governmental conspiracy theories, crypto-zoology, ancient deluges and aliens building pyramids et cetera et cetera. And the best part is they are ALL connected somehow: the loch ness monster has something to do with the aliens building the pyramids of Giza (which the government knows about but keeps it a secret--who knows why). Which is why Bigfoot came out of the Sphinx, which is from space, and he shoots lasers out of his eyes which lets him control the minds of a humans.

I think ironically conspiracy theories are a self defense mechanism.
People perceive the chaos that surrounds us and it scares them.
To feel less scared they used to turn to religion and the idea that there is a big Daddy in the sky who 'has a plan" and who makes sense of all of this and rewards good people.
Religion is not a "credible" option for a lot of people anymore so they prefer the idea that there is some sort of cabal who has a plan and stirs everything around them, even an evil one, to living in a world the randomness of which is dictated by chaos.
And that's why times of crisis like the pandemic bring out even more conspiracy theories.

It has to be someone's great design. Someone that can be stopped. Otherwise, it's just too scary...
And then there are people off their meds.

Religion... Bigfoot... OMG - if Bigfoot was of a particular religious persuasion, that would perfectly explain those Jewish Space Lasers!! {mind blown}
I knew there was no way that could've been made up!
