Yes it's a well known hollywood actor, but I don't know his name (he's been in series and movies I don't care for). The game also contains other well known US actors but him being the main character, is the only one that doesn't really look well in the digitized form and obviously fake, which is really weird to me. I also watched a gameplay video on tv and it's still really weird to see.
About the other game, I don't buy games anymore, unless it's something I know well, but get them from bundles. My library is too big already, and I've only had disappointment in games with extremely positive reviews. But I use my wishlist really rarely, so for the game to be there is a big accomplishment XD

It's not really his face, as if I found it ugly or anything like that, but the way it's used. It looks quite artificial and emotionless, just like a bad and amateurish work on replacing someone's face on a photo by someone with no skills and done in Paint.
I have really nothing against the actor or the fact that he is in the game, just that the job was done poorly. I hope I have explained myself :)

Every negative opinion is from haters that didn't even play the game. How I assumed that? Did You believe than within few hours of game release there will be any person that ever played the game and have the time to review it? Nope. And negative opinion were here way before any opinion could even form. Not to mention, to finish the game.

Someone who surpassed even
Metal GearSpielberg in the gaming medium. Yes. Kojima is better at doing games than Spielberg is at movies. Which means, Kojima is a little bit good, I think. As Spielberg is making masterpieces. That's why people love MGS and are Kojima fans. Because he knows what he is doing. The atmosphere in the game of course can not be good for everyone, though. And that's okay. But hating just because it's Kojima and it's popular. It's really pathetic, what people does. Even before they had a chance to play that game. 40+ hours game reviewed in 2 hours. Uh-huh, I would believe that 😂 And also, I would doubt hater would even play the game intensively, so maybe 2-3 hours daily. So give it 1-2 weeks before even taking negative reviews seriously. For sure, it's not game for everyone. No game is. Not even MGS. That's why I never played any of it, except MGS1 and TPP. I am just bad at stealth. Taste is something very different. You can make an opinion if You actually KNOW the thing. If You don't, You are not allowed to have one. You can't have opinion on coffee, without even trying to drink it. You can say facts that it can be bad for teeth or health when You drink it too much, yes, but You can't describe the taste, without tasting it.
So the frickin same came to games. YOU ARE DISALLOWED to have ANY opinion about the game YOU NEVER HAVE PLAYED. Do you understand? Or are You gonna hate me because I said the truth You are inconvenient with?

That's not at all how any of this works. We got reviews, screenshots, previous experiences and let's plays amongst other things to measure quality without playing ourselves.
I'm sure a capitalist society would love for this to be true, but it simply isn't the case. We can measure quality or interest without consuming, and will only consume if we expect the end-product to forfil. If not, only fools (or if it's like given free, very cheap or coming with other stuff in a bundle that we do want) would consume.
So yeah, no "truth" there.
(Also I wouldn't be able to describe the taste of cola or coffee to those unaware even after consuming. Seriously, how do you describe a taste?)

First, screenshot doesn't even show You what is the game about. Even a description won't. And funny thing, the reviews were all positive, but haters made it that they hate it anyway. No, You can't write the review of a game, because You read another review. This is NOT how this works. Lmao. You are either troll, or is just a pathetic guy, who thinks, he can excuse every hate by whatever he wants.
Reviews can be helpful, but they NEVER, I say, NEVER explain the game. I've seen the game. The reviews doesn't even begin to cover what the game looks like.
And everyone who hates it, not playing it, because it's "walking simulator" is just pure idiot. Calling it like that, regardless of the actual mechanics in the game is plainly stupid. Hates were mostly of a stuff that weren't even a thing in a game.
Also comments like "lol, this game is so weird, even Kojima don't know what it is all about" are even dumber. Because this game is an artistic thing. And no, it's not just weird to be weird. The things in the game DOES have (pretty easy to understand) meaning. But You have to PLAY the game and have BRAIN to actually understand it. But if You stop on the reviews, that cannot explain it to You, You can't learn these things.
Also, have You ever had Your friend, dad, whoever else explaining the movie from the TV to You? And when You watched it it was completely different than You remembered from the story? That's why reviews are NEVER a valid thing to had an opinion. I mean, You have a choice to want or don't want a game. To trust or not trust it. But You can't write another review because of a review. It's a gossip. Somebody tells something, another person doesn't understand it or add something too... and that's how all those fake reviews made of fake reviews made of fake reviews(...) are.
Also things, like I said (Kojima doesn't know what it is all about/game is wboring walking simulator) and other hate speech words are not a valid opinion either.
Cola is sugary sweet. But yeah. That's the case. You are unable to explain it Yourself. So how does some reviews can describe something more complicated. And how You are allowed to make a review because You just heard how the cola tasted, didn't know the 99% of it?
So yeah. So much truth here. Regardless if You admit it or not. And If You ever reviewed a game because of a review, screenshot or other things like thet. Well, Your opinion is -100% valid for me. Because You don't even start to see the product. You just say some gossips, You just manipulate the things and You don't even know those things, so You don't know what You are reviewing. Finito.

I just returned from about 3 weeks break to find this steaming pile of a thread XD... Thank you @Hassat for being a rational person and reading what I typed before you replied to the thread, and thank you @EyrieTheEagle for keeping me entertained with your frolicking like a half-dead rabbit trying to attack me for an opinion I never even had or mentioned and for attacking everyone who even dares to even say one "bad" word about Kojima. As I've said, I still stand by my argument that nothing is perfect and that everything is flawed in it's own way, some things more than others EHM EHM THE GAME'S PLOT EHM and that not everything that a good director/game director/artist (or anyone for that matter) releases is the holy grail of said subject matter.

I know what you mean... like what happened to Lucas with Star Wars. Many people thought this might be the case with Kojima as well and rightfully so - the game concept is very unusual indeed. And frankly I didn't even care for the gameplay, I just wanted to play it because of the story because I was intrigued since the first trailer but I'm playing the game for almost a week now and I can honestly say, that this is not the case. The game's actually all around pretty good.
Just from what I read here in your few comments it is evident that you carry a certain prejudice against Death Stranding and/or Kojima and you most probably have a reason for that but you still shouldn't judge a book by it's cover. Hopefully the winner of this GA will enjoy the game, I'm sure lot of people will.

As for this game, I haven't played a bit of it, and I haven't watched enough of other people playing to know. What I have seen didn't look like fun for me. :) Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe I've only seen the most pointless / nonsense parts of the game, carefully selected to turn people off. I dunno. :)
I don't think I'm anti-Kojima, some things I like and some I don't. :) Same way I like Tolkien but nowadays I skip all the poems and songs - Frankly, Mr. Shankly... :) And even Umberto Eco's love of lists can be a bit much, sometimes... :)
My main problem with this game, so to speak, is the existence of something else, something amazing, something that has no business being as good as it is. :) I hope whoever wins this game has fun, but I really hope people learn about the other game, too... :)

Ahh, my umm, windows xbox controller died so I'd need to use the PS3 emulator (works great) + a Steam controller (works great for some games, really sucks for others). Probably games with badly dated controls would fall into the "really sucks" category... :(
I think making the right stick a touch pad was a cool idea, but nobody copied it for a reason... :) Oh well...

As any shovelware junkie can tell you, 10 failed redemptions (bad key, already used, whatever) or 50 successful ones give you the 1 hour cooldown. :) When that happens every key you try to redeem will fail, until the cooldown period is up. But I suppose you already know that. :)
After a whole hour of this giveaway being up, I'd have expected the whole mess to be used... Glad you were able to grab an unused key somehow... :)
