Just want to add, the help may not always be helpful. Negative, I know
On the positive side, it may be helpful to you!

Did you have some bad experiences?

The medicines don't help me at all, they keep trying different ones lol
Have gone to therapy multiple times and years too. It's all in my hands, sadly.
That said, I am glad it all worked out for you! Positive outcomes are great :D

Oh damn that really sucks :(
I really hope you gonna find a way to get better.
I know many people who had to try different meds before one worked for them.
For me it was just the first one suggested -> Paroxetin

Thanks and that's great!
I haven't tried that one in particular but I have tried many. Currently they prescribe whatever new medicine comes out XD

Unfortunately this can be part of the process. Finding the right therapist can be tough -- it's like finding a good doctor except you also have to like them personally. And because people metabolize differently, some meds might not work.
FWIW, I spent years trying to find the right treatment, but did eventually get there. SSRIs did fuckall for me, even when combined with other meds, and because I was a teenage and then college-age girl no one really took me seriously. It wasn't until my early 20s that I finally found a doctor that believed me about the SSRIs not working and was willing to try other things. It still took a while, but duoloxetine ended up being the magic pill for me, and I've been stable on it for many, many years now.
Just don't say -- don't feel like there's something wrong with you because you struggled to find an approach that worked. It's A Thing, and doctors are just humans who sometimes make mistakes.

I understand that. My current doctor does think medicines won't fix the problem. I have been with therapists for years. I don't think anyone other than myself can help me and that's the worst part XD
Yeah, each doctor approachs it differently, some may work for you and some may not. But there are some who don't even listen to you.
I was officially diagnosed with depression in 2006 and it kept getting worse. Have since been diagnosed with social and generalised anxiety and then some personality disorders. I don't really want to go to anymore therapists. I am beyond anyone's help. It's not like I do what they say, so it's really up to me lol
Thank you though :D

Yeah, its a long journey as well. Sometimes you get meh help but if its person, you can ask another (hopefully). There are different meds as well.
Hope everyone is able to at least try tho

Completely agree, it's worth a shot. Or multiple shots for that matter. It's uncommon that none of the medicines help!

I can't afford it.

I am no friend of the dep. medicine if it isn't the natural stuff. Natural stuff are only the light/soft ones.
From my point of view they block that you really handle all the problems and create a bunch of other problems (no motivation, gaining weight etc.).
And sometimes it is a easy way for a doc to silence the Patient. Done in a few min. without effort, instead of really working on it which takes a long time and is much more expensive.
Of course it is different when it is combined with handling the underlaying problems and using the medicine only for a timeframe X as stabilization till the speaking etc. is further and brought first/more successes..

My motivation got better. No influence on my weight. No negative influence at all i would say, so far.
Psychatrist are just there for the right mediaction. No idea what you mean by "silent the patient".
It also takes a long time until its the right dose and it doesnt change anything over night.
After 2 years i can still see/feel improvements. Also when you will feel that everything is good, you still need to take them for 2-4 years, depending on your past issues, so they wont come back again.
So for me it will be about 4-5 more years on those pills before i stop taking them.

I mean with it "giving medicine" but not a real handling of the problem that lead to that situation.
I seen it in many cases, online and offline.
Maybe because the psychiat. don't have enough time, maybe because they weren't motivated because they anyway get their money etc..
And i never had one around me that not had, massive, negative sideeffects from the pills.
It's good to hear that you don't had negative effects.

Actually in my family/friends etc i didnt have a single one who had any negative sideeffects.
The samplesize isnt huge, but for all of them it was just helpful.
