Hype doesn't support devs, it just creates an unrealistic expectation for their game which in turn results in disappointment and unhappy customers. I cant stand when games are sold based on hype.

If the game is any good, they should be sending copies to game reviewers and asking for honest reviews. Getting honest, positive reviews from popular youtubers will have a huge effect on the exposure and sale of their game.
