What a pain this DLC. I'm giving it away but no entry actually owns the base game (but they can enter)... I think I'll delete the GA and wait for the 2018 codemaster bundle...

I feel your pain, man. Going through all this for 3P is not worth it. This is listed on Steam as if it's a base game. Therefore this DLC is the perfect game to see how many auto-joiners there are on Steamgifts. I did not think it was this big of a problem until I made this giveaway.

I use the Steamgifts archive to find others giveaway like mine. Yours was lvl 5, I checked it thinking lvl5 users may have more "DLC experience" but read you rerolled 12 times...

All this time I thought I could only search for GAs I entered previously. Just found the archive at the bottom of the page. 🤦♂️Thanks for the tip!
And yes, I also thought level 5 would put me on the save side. Didn't exactly work out. I check all my winners on SGTools so I have to bother support for rerolls quite frequently, but 12 was a new record for me.

Yeah, I ran into that limit 2 or 3 times before. It's quite annoying.
Also kinda funny how some claim to have entered by accident. This might be true for a few of them. But come on, this giveaway has DLC in the title and a big DLC banner on the picture. Most of them use autojoin bots.

Well, 40th rerolls and no winner. I finally checked manually each entry and NOBODY owns the base game. Insane. I'm deleting the giveaway and keep the key for next year (maybe ^^).

40?! Unreal, this has to be some kind of record. A record nobody would want though. All this work with the rerolls for nothing. Such a shame. :(
Here's what you could do though if you have some people on your whitelist:
This will tell you which user from your whitelist owns the base game and you can make a GA for the DLC. Preferably an invite only GA for those who own the base game and then you just send them the link to the GA.
For example, I have 320 people on my whitelist and 4 of them own F1 2017.
