Just a heads up: Users can have the entire package and still enter the giveaway. You might want to check the winner

hi! thank you for letting me know. ill check that. im still relatively new here so not a 100% sure on everything. if you can kindly enlighten me on this a bit: why can we enter for some games that we already own but for some we cant. is it because of region locks or some other reason? thanks!

It's because of DLCs, IIRC. SteamGifts can't properly check, whether an account owns a specific DLC. So it's always considered not owned. If a bundle contains a DLC – like this one – and that DLC isn't owned, the whole bundle is treated as not owned.

Hi! appreciate the answer. It actually makes sense now because i redeemed the warner bros humble bundle on my account a few months back however i still see those giveaways on my feed and there is no "already owned marker" stopping me from entering. batman arkham knight and middle earth games to be specific which include dlcs since they are the premium/deluxe editions. thanks!

People can enter if they have "lower" editions, for example: The person has the standard edition of this game, he could enter because it's the definitive edition.

Hi! in that case I believe we can still send the key since they will at least get the dlcs , right?

For sure, if that's not a problem for you, you can still send the key to the winner, some people here do and some don't in these cases. :)

Understood! thank you to everyone for the guidance! loving this kind helpful community! thankfully the winner doesn't have the game so that made my life easy lol

Hi AsheRebel, belated welcome to steamgifts.
This can happen for games that are:
-Removed from steam store
-DLCs
-Deluxe Editions / Complete Packs / GOTY-Edition etc
Steamgifts can't properly check for DLCs, that why definitive edition like this often can still be entered even though people own the entire package already,
I just saw you had 0 wins so far, added to my whitelist and maybe you should check out: Unlucky7

Hi! Thank you for the welcome, explanation, whitelist and that thread. Ill check it out much appreciated. and yes in future ill be careful to check winners of such keys then.
personally i dont mind if i dont win, im just here to share the keys so others can play. i get to help charities, make someones day better with a game and i get a couple games on decent deals from bundles. thats a triple win in my book! i mainly participate in giveaways for games i want to try but im not certain if ill like them enough where i can justify buying them unless it's on a huge discount.

Very nice from you.Yes many here only enter for games on their wishlist, which they only plan to buy when they are much cheaper. Check out my current whitelist giveaways (the ones with the blue heart), maybe something there for you. There a lot of christmas events atm as well.
-Maybe interesting for you: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/md7g7/what-bundled-games-have-you-been-trying-to-win-lately-christmas-2025-edition
In this thread you can post bundled games you tried to win here with no luck and then maybe someone with a spare key gifts them to you.
Other events:
-There is an advent calendar where you find every day very good games to enter: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/CRukH/unofficial-steamgifts-community-christmas-calendar-2025-day-18-is-open
-There is a community train with over 700 giveaways: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/2Mlae/xmas-community-train-2025-yep-its-the-5th-one-live
-There is my jigidi advent, there you find links to even more events: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/0f8yg/drtenmas-jigidi-advent-calendar-2025-lvl-2

Thank you for all the links and so much info , I'll check them all out right now. I am so thankful to you for your tips and the time you have taken to explain a random newbie :)
I have been a console gamer since the 90s and recently started getting in to pc gaming properly and so far my experience has been amazing. not just because of gaming graphics, variety, mods etc. but the people I have met on steam and today on this site. Several people in this thread have been so kind and helpful and it's a wonderful experience a complete contrast to my encounters with toxic, immature drama queens on consoles lol

There a few toxic, immature drama queens here as well, but tbh the main problem here is more bots/leechers in the lower levels. You will find people here who won over 100 games, but gave away nothing. That's why many people here set the level for public giveaways higher, join groups or do puzzle events. If you have any questions, just ask

bad people exist everywhere and same goes for good people so i am not surprised and yes i always keep giveaways for level 1+ to avoid bots. and i did have a question but you just answered it. i visited the puzzle event and was confused but makes sense now we have to do the puzzles to gain access to giveaway. makes sense now thanks again :)

There are a lot o bots on level 1 as well. Because you only have to do a single giveaway with any value to reach level 1.
Yes, we have all kinds of puzzles here to hide giveaways behind it like minesweeper, wordle, nonograms and many more. The Jigidis one are just jigsaw puzzles. When you sign in on the page your progress will be saved. You can try out the potatobreak in my thread first.

yikes had no idea. ill be using level 2 as the minimum criteria for my giveaways moving forward then. explains why some "people" didn't claim keys / leave feedback for several days yet they were "online" every time I viewed their profile.
okay ill try it out thanks again. haven't solved a jigsaw puzzle in like 25+ years so seems like it's finally time to test my "skills" haha :)
