No need for thanks upon entry, but if you win, please be polite...
If you don't know what that means, I can't help you...

"If you don't know what that means, I can't help you"
how are people supposed to know your definition of polite if you simply say "I can't help you" instead of telling them properly what you want?

So you want to control the content of my GA text? I'm confused by what you find obscure about my meaning. Seems pretty clear to me. :)
Is there some reason you've decided to come comment on a GA that ended that you didn't win either? What is it that bothers you specifically? And why didn't you come comment when the GA was running? Actually almost all my public GAs read the same thing?
What specifically is it that is bugging you? There is no threat to the person if they don't do anything. So please tell me what can I do that will make you happy seeing as this seems to bug you for some reason. :)

I don't understand your "please be polite". How should I know what polite is to you? I'd like to know that to not be impolite if the time comes that I win someday. It would be clear to me if you wrote something like "comment on how you enjoyed the game would be appreciated or a simple thanks" or something like that.

Again, like I said in the other comment, I thought my antecedent was pretty clear...

Oh, I somehow skipped that, sorry. It is the usual case of selective blindness. Sometimes I notice something that is very hard to notice, but other times I fail to notice things that are in the open. But still "leave a comment" is easier for me to understand than vague "be polite".

I was fairly certain the antecedent was clear in my dependent clause but perhaps I'm wrong? o_O
