Your right, it is Steam API, silly but it doesn't work with DLC, so any package/bundle that features DLC will have to be checked.
If the item is a remaster or something (eg Darksiders Warmastered Edition), then it will be fine, as the DLC is not separate but incorporated into the game.
Guys, correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the GOTY Edition include 3 DLC's, the Collector's Edition Pack, the Creature SlaughterDome and the Mr Torgue's Campaign of Carnage which are not included in the Handsome Jack Collection.
Watch out.. I could still enter the giveaway, even when I already own the handsome edition (all DLC) for Borderlands 2.
