I forgot to make a giveaway for this last year.
Rather than guessing that this game probably sucks, I can verify it actually does suck. By the way, I played right through to the end and got fired. Guess I'm just not cut out for managing a négligée shop. Oh well.

I recently read about the "steamground" site. Mountains of cheap Steam games for all your +1 needs, straight from the "developers" without any grey market / stolen keys / whatever.
Except they don't like paypal. So I tried with a credit card, only to hit the wall entitled Verified by Visa. It's the right password, so why doesn't it work? I dunno. It seems to be doing something every ten seconds, but I'm not getting any keys so I make a new tab and try again. Still no luck. After half an hour or so I try yet again, and get the same big box of nothing. Umm, what gives? Did they take my money? Do they even want my money? Maybe you have to be in Russia to buy anything?
Quite honestly, I have run flat up against a wall.
Or, a gate, I should say. The thing just won't budge.
No matter how long I wait. And, oh, have I waited!
So what's the best part of the story? A few hours later I check back. Somehow all the steamground purchases went through. :( So now I have three identical piles of cheap garbage. Which means....
Initiate phase one. Power up the crap cannon. :)
Will a precious bot redeem this crappy key before you do, human? Let's find out!

Umm, there's nothing to figure out, really. It's just lazy anti-bot protection, since I've heard bots can redeem keys they find sitting in plain text...
Don't know if that actually happens, my guess is some person redeems the key without saying anything. :)

Umm, there is nothing else... I think anyone who bought this expecting a "real" visual novel would request a refund after an hour or so. :) Oh well. :)

I'd say Negligee is a typical sort of "OELVN" on Steam, i.e. the whole point is to find the correct choices that lead to boobies. Spoiler: they all do.
There are Steam games full of boobies that are actual games, like the Witcher series for example. :) Also, HuniePop is full of boobies but it's a good match-3 game so people would probably play it even without the boobies. :)
Generally if you take the boobies out of a Dharker Studio or Winged Cloud game, there's nothing left. I usually tell people to check the screenshots on the community page, since that's the whole game right there. :)

I'm not sure there was a story, but let me think... Umm, somehow you become the manager of the boobie store, you hire some new employees, and boobies result. Oh, and you can get fired for not boobing enough or something, I forget the details...

As a teen I always wondered how great it would be to run a 'négligée shop' I'm glad these great developers have thought to answer that question. pokerface
I'm going to admit: I'm purely going for the cards for this one and the fascination of seeing how terrible the gameplay is. Can't imagine with bait (or is it bate?) visuals like that they put the minimum effort in to create a sim. :p

dunno reviews speak something different. if you see that there are 16x positive ones where almost everyone mentions a good story against 2x negative ones where half of the people who wrote that doesn't even seem to understand what a VN is aka you cant take them even serious.

I've learned not to trust Steam reviews too much. Quite a few games that are bad still have great reviews. Reason why I at least give them a try myself. 18 reviews isn't that great of a sample either.
I played enough VN's where a lot of people are saying the story is great and those ended up being written by people I imagine had never had any contact with other humans. So there is a reason why I have caution for these :p
That being said, I can't tell if this one falls into that for sure since I never tried it. Just an assumption on previous experiences.

I dont trust any reviews, no matter who wrote em. but since i didnt play it i need to go with what is available. and if theres so much more positive ones ten negative ones, while half of the negative ones you can even forget, then it would be fast to say that is crap.
What although speaks more against it is that theres no jap audio. My experience / opinion: is if theres no jap audio aka not by a japanese studio most vns are bad to average.
edit: and ofc that its dharker, didnt even recognize that, atleast they seem to finally improved the faces of their characters.

If I'm remembering correctly, this game is just like you think it is. :) I don't remember anything about the English, but hopefully these Dharker clowns have progressed beyond the Beach Bounce "hihi" days... :) Art probably still sucks. :)
Oh, since I'm lazy, check the community page. I don't remember if there's a patch to boobie up the game, or if it's already as boobied as it gets... :)

Wish I'd heard about that steamground place months ago, think of all the terrible cheap games I could have been trying to buy... :) Some of those purchases would probably have gone through by now... :)

It's actually a decent casual thing that was originally on BigFish before getting a Steam release too. It definitely predates the age of the greenlight shovelware flood.

Unfortunately I've never wanted to buy a steamground bundle... :) Cheaper to buy the one or two games I'm missing, instead of getting those plus a pile of stuff that's been bundled 10x before... :)
Oh, here's a puzzle I can't solve, maybe you know the answer... :) Often I notice a few people making giveaways for cheap junk a day or two before the games appear on steamground... I assume there is a similar site out there somewhere, and the lucky few are keeping it secret to preserve their precious non-bundle cv... :)

I keep reading about this "steamground" recently on the forum and on giveaways but I still haven't try it, the fact that they don't accept paypal is a no-no for me I don't like giving my CB infos on small non EU website

But anyway, first I suggest putting the giveaways in order (check the Roman numerals in case I didn't create them in order properly) and then, hmm, if you're new at puzzles check this thing which should make it obvious.
There's nothing to find in the video, and no hidden text to uncover. Whatever is in there is visible on the page somewhere... :)
It should be really easy, so after you try for a while let me know if you still can't figure it out... But if you're lazy and just want the answer I'll feel bad... :)
