Whoa, this is indeed pretty random! First of all, it's not your place to apologise for something you didn't even do! Obviously this never is a black and white matter and while yeah I've been hurt in the past, that was more of a broad opinion unfortunately (even if I don't remember the exact comment, I just know it lead to lots of blacklists – go figure). Social media or rather the anonymity of the internet brings out the worst in people and more often than not it's guys being assholes or disrespectful or whatever. Obviously it's never all guys but it's not just a select few either, you know? And while yes, going around hating on an entire gender because some/many guys are being dicks isn't the best approach either but as long as men don't realise that by denying the fact that there are some bad apples among them, they're part of the problem. It's a whole complex thing really. Most get offended if you say something unspecific/broad like "ugh, men" which I get in a way, but surely those guys that are in fact truly "good guys" wouldn't get offended by such statement because they know it isn't about them? I dunno, like I said it's a complex thing. I do appreciate you checking in though (even though it's not your job to apologise, like I said)! :)
