Description

Instead of "Thanks" I would like to know what game you like that is unpopular with most gamers!

Surprise me!

Two Worlds. The first one. I like it a lot more than the second one, which is considered to be the better one.

Is Cookie Clicker considered a game?
I mostly play mainstream games, that's the most "obscure" one that I play :)

It certainly is! I like Cookie Clicker when I'm bored.. very, very bored.

I wouldn't say it's unpopular because it's not well known enough for that, but the game Axis Football 15 is a total mess and yet I still enjoy playing it. It's glitchy, players get caught on each other, the AI is completely brain dead, and the teams are absurdly unbalanced, but it's a football game and it's modifiable enough to allow tons of hilarious stuff. I'm not sure I'll ever get tired of playing it in short bursts.

E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy usually gets a bad rap from people, but it's really quite good once you get over the initial learning curve. A cult classic if anything. Maybe the opinion has changed since the last time I checked.

Horror suspense? It's an action RPG. Think Deus Ex.

Really? I always assumed it was Horror-ish. I learn something new everyday.

Gnomoria. In the beginning the ratings were good but that has changed. I still like it.
Edit: Just checked the store page again and the ratings are back to positive. The top rated comments are still negative though.

Steam ratings are so fickle.. people dislike the slightest thing or something the company (not game) is doing and give a negative review. I wish they had a better system than simple thumbs "up" or "down".

What an interesting game... doesn't look very good to me, but to each their own! That's the whole point! Enjoy it!

ahahaha shrug fly around, scan planets, shoot shit, make choices, craft stuff, read novellas, and most of all enjoy the visuals. yup, agree to disagree; Football Manager (which looks incredibly boring to me) seems a good opposite to it ;)

Right on. I know FM isn't for everybody. Games are supposed to be fun! That's why I asked the question, to prove to everyone who read some of these comments that all the fighting over which game is "better" than another one is a waste of time. If it's fun, play it. If not, don't!

I think you misunderstood the question. This game IS popular and has 96%+ positive reviews.

I understood, but the thing is, I'm not usually fond of games disliked by their players. :-)

So I chose CW3 as a niche game -- well-received among those few who play it, but not popular among general populace. :-)

Batman: Arkham Knight. It's a flawed product, but I STILL love it! (Mine's the first review on the page at the moment, if you're interested ;) )

Excellent and thorough review. I voted you up for sure. One of the problems with reviews for games that are unpopular with the gaming media or have release issues (understatement in this case), is that the reviews tend to be based on hearsay not actual playing time. Thanks for taking the time and writing a proper review.

KINGDOMS. Its still pretty early in development, but it seems like the devs have a lot of heart. You can tell they're new, and updates take a while. But I'm there for the game concept at the very least. I hope it makes it to a full game, but for 10$ I don't feel like I lost much if it doesn't get any further.

So you're an early development hipster?! I am kidding. Yeah, some games are worth it for the journey you take playing them.

lol I avoid the majority of them like the plague, but I've gotten lucky with a few (Don't Starve, Starbound, and Long Dark), so I decide to risk it again. I'm betting this is my fail, but I keep crossing my fingers :D

I purchased this game back on 11-27-2014, never played it. Never heard anything about it.

Yet, right now...I've dropped all games to continue playing it.

That's fair! Try some 'new' or indie games to be on the frontier of deciding what's 'good' and 'bad'!

I mostly play what I win here and those games aren't always brand new... which I don't mind at all, but it limits my abilities as a trendsetter :)
