Actually, I read that a few days before, but my mind was stuck in the gut with the Morse code and Brainf*ck. Only tried to interpret it as ternary number just now.
Oh so you already knew the solution but didn't just see it right away. Maybe due to the fact that I used the dot instead of the 0 (just to make it a bit harder).
I first learnt about balanced ternary during my first year of university (I started computer science but fortunately I got out of it after the first semester). I found this counting method awesome and it recently came to my mind, so I decided to do a puzzle :D
Oh well, you solved the puzzle, you deserved it!
Probably, if the game were an expensive one, there would have been more entries. Maybe when I'll get the job in a year or so I'll make a good one :D
Ero pure arrivato a capire che era un sistema ternario, ma le mie conoscenze matematiche sono davvero pessime, non son manco riuscito a capire come tradurre l'informazione nella pratica (a parte provare direttamente a sostituire + . - con 1 0 -1... poi non sapevo che fare e ho scartato l'idea lol)
Va beh, ci ho provato e prendo "appunti" per il futuro, devo imparare a leggere meglio le matematicherie sulle pagine di wikipedia >.>

That was my situation, too. I started in comp sci, but ended with a degree in literature. I work as an editor now.
