The way it works is that you can freely gift to people whose region is cheaper than yours no matter the difference, so OP being EU means they can gift to anywhere other than Switzerland (so, statistically speaking, veeeeeeery unlikely to have a problem).

I think there might have been some shop which had a split between "west Europe" and "east Europe" with different (more reasonable for "east") prices a long time ago... But, I might be misremembering (actually, when I think about it, that might have been an individual dev on Steam doing it with their game/s) and nowadays all EU just gets the same prices.
It's just ridiculous to me. I guess it's simply impossible for most people to imagine that you can live just a few hundred kilometers away in another country and make way way less money for the same job.
The world keeps getting smaller and still, people seem to know less and less about other places and how life is for others.
