Some kind soul pointed out it was my cakeday, which I would have plumb forgot if left to my own devices. So here's a little something to celebrate.
Thank yous are always welcome, but if you'd like to answer a question instead: do you think there's actually any form of life on another planet? And if so, will we find it?

I think getting a comment under a minute after posting a giveaway is a new record of some sort.

We don't know enough yet so everybody is basically giving educated guesses about the possibility of life on other bodies, but I do think life existed or exists somewhere. Intelligent life might be very rare though.

Caky caky then. Yes.

It's statistically highly improbable for there to not be any kind of life elsewhere in the universe (or even just the Milky Way). Earth isn't exactly special in any meaningful way other than the fact that we're on it. Heck, not just life in general, but multicellular life and intelligent life too. That's kinda why we have the Fermi Paradox.
So my answer to you question is... Pfft, I dunno. Probably. Maybe. :P
Anyway, thank you very much. :)

I did know about the Fermi Paradox! Or as I've seen it called, humanity's poem about loneliness.

Happy cake day and thanks for the chance to win a MECH GAME :o)
To your question...
Yes i do.
The earth and the humans at it are only one sand particle in the cosmic "desert".
So why we should think we have the only planet with life in any form ?

Yes, the universe is huge and we know only little. Chances are there must be.

depends on how you define of life...
if we are talking carbon based = probably, there's got to me more life forms somewhere.
if we are talking non-carbon based (intelligent spirit/ interdimensional / energy forms/ beings) = definitely!
Happy Cake day!

Happy cake day!
I think that since the molecules that make life are so abundant in the universe, there has to be life in many places. Chances are there is even life in other bodies of the solar system.

Thanks for the great giveaway, and happy cake day! :)
And I'm sure there's life on some other planet, I just don't know what that life is like.

Happy cupcake day, and thank you for sharing this with the community!
As for life on other planets, not sure. Maybe in another galaxy? Space is big and vast.

Probably yes.
Happy Cake Day!

Yes, there is probably life on another planet. No reason there wouldn't be.

Oh awesome. Thanks for the giveaway!
I think life has to exist elsewhere.

Thanks for the great giveaway and have a very happy cakeday!

Fantastic ga thank you! Happiest cake day to you. :)
And yes, with how big the universe is I think there's bound to be somewhere. Perhaps even asking themselves this same question.

Happy late cake day!
What counts as "life"? Self replicating? Carbon based? As there are quite a few planets (10^16?) and more and more complex chemical compounds observed in space, my guess is that there is at least some kind of simple life on another planet. I don't think we will ever detect it, as distances are too great in the universe and timescales too different (evolution of "life" in the order of 10^8 years; advanced human civilization until now in the order of 10^3-10^4 years).

Yeah, I don't think we are anything special. With how seemingly endless the universe is, I kind of doubt we are alone here.
Of course, given the distance we aren't ever gonna know it (well at least not in our lives).
Also happy cake day!

I assume there is other life out there, somewhere.
Will humans ever come across it? I'm assuming not.
Happy factory-coated-in-icing-day : )

Happy Cakeday!
And I'm fairly certain, that there is life out there somewhere, though very probably some of it won't be what we expect.
