I'm really grateful that our company Sales Manager called me to watch the extra time from this years UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, we're both Real Madrid fans and were extremely happy to the pass to the semi-finals. I have yet to speak with him about last saturday's final win :]
I don't have any "juicy" work stories, unless you count telling a manager to f-off in front of a bunch of customers and not even getting a slap on the wrist for it.

Working on my PhD thesis for a decade now. I am payed for 4h a day, but I have to work a minimum of 12h per day or else my boss gets mad. Oh, and holidays are off limits, too. Sounds great ?
A decade! I was just starting high school a decade ago.
Are you satisfied with the thesis you're working on or have you just put so much work into it you've got to see it to fruition for the sake of your sanity? I heard that's how most PhD thesis' finish out.
But paid, 4h for a 12h work day?! I really hope you love the job!
Well it's definitive the latter.
And it took so long bcause I had to work on other things in my work time and was only able to work on my thesis in my free time.
To some extend it's my personal circle of hell.
But apart from this, I like my job. Quantum Chemistry and Molecular Modelling are cool.
