The Cake Factory is closing soon! Join the tour!

No real nostalgia here as it's still a fairly recent release as far as I'm concerned, but Life is Strange takes the Telltale formula for illusion-of-choice adventure gaming and puts it into a deeply moving story about a young girl and the forces that surround her. I'm happy to have played the first game early on, while people were still waiting on each episode (thanks to those old non-region-restricted Nuuvem prices...). The ending has its criticisms, but I didn't expect a dramatically different ending from what was presented.

With the second game releasing very soon, I'm sure someone will appreciate getting the chance to experience this first game in the series for the first time. It's an amazing adventure with a carefully-chosen and memorable soundtrack, beautiful graphics and voice acting, and a story that I very much enjoyed. Not to mention that the gameplay itself helps players who always have that "but what if I did this instead?" mentality -- you don't have to re-load an old save to find out! :)

In other words:
Please tell me why The Neverhood isn't on Steam yet?! I know the video quality is terrible and probably doesn't even exist in high resolution, but... man, I love that game!... (listening to the Neverhood soundtrack right now... ...hmm... this online version has bonus tracks that weren't on my official CD -- cool! :D)

I think The Neverhood's compression is fine really, it's like watching a really old claymation film (which is kind of exactly what your doing, just that it's a game).

And yeah, the soundtrack is awesome. It's very unique so you'll know that if you randomly just hear one of the songs, it's from The Neverhood.

Well, Dreamworks Interactive was Neverhood's publisher, and it is now known as DICE Los Angeles, which belongs to... EA! It's them again!
Why do they do this? They are certainly aware of the property owned, since an attempt at mobile port was shut down. It can't reasonably be the porting cost, as SCUMMVM plays the game fine. I guess they simply don't care enough.
EA!!!

Oh man, I'd never actually tried to track down the publisher heritage before... why did it have to be EA?! :P :D
