This has to be one of my favorite Borderlands DLCs. The story is great, and there's a ton of loot to be had. I highly recommend it! The others are quite good, too. The Underdome is especially underappreciated.
Everyone who owns Borderlands should also own these DLCs.
My favourite is definitively The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. The atmosphere of the landscape is so much different than other Borderlands locations that I couldn't have chosen otherwise.
I really really like that one! I love the horror theme, and the extra story for the Jakobs corporation. It's all so good! It's absurd how good the DLCs for the original Borderlands are.
Underdome, at least for me, was a major pain unless I had a friend to play with me, but otherwise all the DLC were fun. I think the zombie one is the one I played the most. In some ways, they were more fun than the main game.
So far I've only played the first BL. I keep promising myself I'm going to do a "blind playthrough" (as in, never really even seen the game before so I don't know anything about "proper" builds and such, I'm figuring all of it out as I go) of all the games in order (starting with 1, which obviously won't be blind, 2, 1.5, Tales, etc... somewhere I have a list of the order I intend to play them) and stream the entire thing (probably on Twitch, but record it and post to YouTube) ... but I haven't actually done any of it yet so we'll see.
I just really love getting into a long-ass fight to test out my favorite guns. It's a good challenge for after a Knoxx armory run. However, the longer rounds are a bit absurd, so I get how Underdome can be a pain in the ass for some folks.
I hope you manage those playthroughs! I love watching Borderlands let's plays, so the more the merrier.
if you own borderlands GOTY/Enhanced editions then you will already own these dlc's.
i think even the owners of just the main game got given the upgrade for free but not 100% sure on that
