Summer is icumen in, as they say, and it's coming in hard. We're still in the slow approach right now, but we go into a Heat Watch on Wednesday night: it's supposed to break 100° in air temperature (37.8° C), with the Heat Index going higher than that. For a couple of days, at least. It will be, what's the word, beastly.

Folks in Europe already went through what we're about to get. On the plus side, I've made it nearly all the way through the month without turning on my air conditioner yet.
