The mechanics look good as well, in-depth with lots of versatility and player consideration.
The backer feed has additional gameplay videos and the like, so there's a better idea of it there, as well. Add in the professionalism of the team and their stated potential co-op and other multiplayer modes, and it could be one of the best games we've seen.

You know, assuming we can rally enough attention to their game to get them extra funds to achieve all their lofty ambitions :)
