I have a key too only from another version(Roller Coaster 3), it was removed from steam and I can't use the key(key error).
It was those cd-rom that came with the magazines. This magazine went bankrupt, maybe steam support help me?

There's a list of older games that can be activated on Steam and that doesn't appear to be one of them: http://web.archive.org/web/20160505042257/https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7480-WUSF-3601

If you're sure that the retail purchase of that game entitles you to a Steam license (not all do, including my old DVD copy of Borderlands) then support would be the way to go, otherwise you'll have to buy it again if you want it on Steam.
