I'm happy for any new PQ, but it would have been nice to get a new game instead of a polishing of the first one.

I thought they made some new games a long while back but nothing seemed as good...?

I liked PQ2 more than PQ1, but yeah, everything after that did not appeal to me.
Gems of War is an excellent PQ variant from the people who made PQ.

Anyone tried Ironcast?

I have not.

I've put more than 100 hours into the game, love the concept and the worldbuilding (final reveal/twist in the game is really cool), but it I struggle to recommend it because of various missing quality of life features, and the game being really frustrating a lot of the time (but I still enjoy it despite the frustrations).
If you are fine with a roguelite that is pretty much unwinnable until you get some permanent upgrades, and where you will lose plenty of runs due to a single misclick, or a mistake due to some unintuative game design, or even the game crashing (as it deletes your save for current run), if you are fine with that and it won't frustrate you to replay the game dozens of times, then you might also end up enjoying it.
(And I would love for someone to make a sequel or build on the ideas of the game, especially if someone made it more akin to Slay the Spire in terms of game design, and allow for more build variety, because as it is, the game gets very samey very quickly)
I actually recently just played the game for another 20 hours where I kept deleting my save file, to try to beat the game on level 0 global unlocks (so having none of the permanent unlocks), and while it is possible, it is unlikely even if you fully understand optimal play and play perfectly with no mistakes. You also need to have a lot of luck in the late game, without which it becomes impossible. For example, if you're unlucky, the game just might not give you a weapon that can even do damage to the final boss, which has happened to me.
But if you do play normally and do multiple runs, you gain global XP, and level up, which gives you various permanent unlocks which make the game much easier and much more managable to beat under any circumstances (though it is still difficult).
Also, as I mentioned the game deletes your run progress if your game crashes or you quit mid mission, but you can save your progress between missions, and you can find the save folder and backup the save files between missions, so you can save scum if you so desire. I ended up doing this a few times when I was experiementing with the level 0 runs and ultimately it was the only way I managed to beat the late game and final boss with level 0 permanent unlocks (because you need a lot of luck on your side there). Though if you do play it, and do want to savescum, definitely avoid it at the start, as you are supposed to lose the runs at the start and level up your gobal unlocks, which then make the game much more managable.
Sorry for the wall of text, got a bit carried away, but that's my experience with Ironcast. 😄

Don't be sorry, this is a wonderful description of the game, and helps me understand it's rating. Thank you!

Very true, there are some small new additions in this one, but nothing too major

I feel like I would enjoy match 3 games more on mobile than on PC.

Thanks for that heads up Swordoffury!! I've already got the Switch version, which sounds like it has almost everything the new one does but I'll have to keep my eye out for sales anyway.
Now if only they'd remaster and improve Galactrix...
Oh! And thanks for the chance at Princess Farmer of course! 😅

I assume both editions will have the same features, but that needs to be confirmed for sure ^^

I've played this one. It's fun but at some point you realize that it can be played randomly almost as well as with intent, which takes the fun down a significant notch.
My favorite match3 is a mobile match3 rpg: Call of Antia. Good for 30+ hours before paypal/grindwall becomes oppressive.

My favorite one is probably still Puzzzle quest 1 and 2 even if I played good mobile ones.
But...on a mobile phone, the screen is too small. Even for Match 3 games that stops me at some point

Time for a tablet.
Or (guessing) bifocals (fighting that good fight myself).

Match3 games are definitely a weak spot for me, but i just like all kind of puzzle games in general.
So yeah im more likely to start a match3 or solitaire game than any AAA :D
