Use up all your points, I would recommend being patient and entering for games you think you'll enjoy, rather than just games that you have a higher chance of winning.

Being in groups and getting on whitelists helps. Also, upping your level will give you better odds on higher level giveaways since there will be less people. Also looking for giveaways with multiple copies can help.However, it's all just fighting the odds so your best bet is getting lucky.
