Steam key for a RTS.
Since we're talking about RTS here, please post your favourite RTS games which may not be as popular as they should be (so forget about Starcraft, Warcraft series, C&C and such).
I recommend Sacrifice (okay, it's rather RPS) and Emperor: Battle for Dune (all time favourite). You can buy the first one on Steam and GOG.com. You can also vote for the second one here: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/emperor_battle_for_dune_1

I'd recommend Original War and Battle Realms in the "games you may not have heard of" category

Heard about the first one - one of my friends had it once. Didn't know about the second one - thanks for those!

Sacrifice was good fun back in the day. Can't remember if Warzone 2100 was popular or not but that was/is a pretty cool game.

My true and only love will always be Dune II.

I finished with all three factions (including games-exclusive Ordos) while being a kid - with credits-cheat. When I was in high school, I decided I need to finish the game at least once without any cheats... One of the hardest games ever with the max-one-unit-select interface and limited resources of spice per map. But I did it - bigger satisfaction than with Demon's/Dark Souls/Bloodborne.
I remember finishing 8th level by selling all my base and rushing harvesters as the 1st line of attack to focus turret fire on them since they were hard to destroy. Completed the map with just two siege tanks left :D

Well, I do love RTS but mainly the mainstreams, so I'm sorry, hehehe.
As for my recommendation, I'll throw in a classic, how about Empire Earth?

I was interested by it - the fact that I can go from a sword to nanorobots was cool :)

War Inc., an overlooked, underrated game. The combat was C&C clone, but where it shone was the stock market and designing your own units. You can vote for it here or here
