Description

Hello!
If you win, please mark it as "Received". If you can, write a review about the game and show your support for the developer's efforts.

The Last Rolling Hero is a Sci-Fi platformer which I shall review soon. Its developer has kindly offered me a few extra copies for promotional purposes, so it is with great pleasure that I host this giveaway for a title belonging to the genre that got me on the path of review writing in the first place. A hobby that has slowly but surely become my second favorite after gaming itself.

While not mandatory, please feel free to follow my Steam Group's curator page. Those are my own reviews, naturally.

which I shall review soon.

May I know what your thoughts on the game are? It's hard to get a good idea of how the game plays due to the screen-tearing in the trailer, and the current reviews aren't much more descriptive.

Well, the gameplay is smooth so don't let that movie-like trailer give off a false impression that any intended glitches might brake the pacing. As for my own review, it shall get published in a few days. Can't really say when, since it's always dependent on my spare time and mood.

The main thing I'm concerned about is the combat. Are enemies meat-shield-y? I've never been a big fan of "platformers" that halt the platforming elements each time enemies are introduced, especially when you have to defeat all the enemies to progress like in a beat-em-up.

On the early levels I tested so far, the enemies weren't THAT challenging. And you can choose to have no combat at all, if you play on the Easy Mode. An endless mode called "Scoregasm" will further emphasize on pure platforming with no enemies in sight.

the enemies weren't THAT challenging.

No, I wasn't asking if they were challenging, I was asking if they were meat-shield-y (i.e. they take a bunch of hits and a long time to defeat despite lacking challenge). I'm also wondering if fighting enemies is separate from the platforming, or if the game is clever enough to combine the challenge of fighting enemies with the challenge of the platforming.

It combines them. And the foes I've met so far, get blown to bits very fast.
