Description

How's it going? Why, thanks for asking. These are busy times here on my end, which is good on a personal level but rough on a wider one. We've opened a new Off-Broadway show, "Father Anonymous," which plays in Midtown through July 2, and at eight shows a week it's a big load to carry. Getting it mounted was chaotic and crazy, even for theater, but this is a chaotic time for all of us pretty much. As outright fascism spreads across the country we are all off-balance, wondering how far things can bend before they break. At least the military parade was a flop, and hearing of the unity and numbers in the No Kings parade was heartening.

Thank you very much for the game! Though I have to say... 8 shows a week??? That's insane, especially for theater. My body never recovered from playing too many (music) shows in too little time when I was younger, so I say this from experience: make sure you rest appropriately, take some time off every day to let your brain rest, and eat well and stay hydrated. And most importantly: never forget to enjoy what you are doing! Making art is a beautiful thing. I hope Father Anonymous is a big success, and all the effort pays off!

I appreciate the kind words. Eight shows a week is quite a burden - nightly except Monday, with matinees on Wednesday and Saturday, but it's only for a few weeks. It's exhausting work, and I'm glad to have it! I don't always eat well, I confess, but hydration and I are good friends. And making art is reason to go through the day. Next up is Shakespeare's As You Like It, which won't pay but will be a joy to do. Enjoy the game!
