I personally use two features almost exclusively to this point.
1) magnification with histogram equalization
2) Principal Component Analysis primarily with settings Color/Component (or sometimes Projection) then stepping thru the componets 1 thru 3. Sometimes linearize helps. Sometimes invert helps. Sometimes changing enhancement from Equalize to Stretch helps.
3) Every now in the, metadata has helped me.
So far none of the other options have ever helped me.
I bet this will help you get some of the giveaways that are eluding you. To get to A12, for example you can look at the image in A11 (if you got there) or the image in B12 (which has the same puzzle/image as A11).

A4 was a hard one for everyone. I posted a hint (and will so again tomorrow or Saturday - train ends Sunday night (EST). If you have not seen the hint on A3, see if it helps you.
A6 you have the pieces of this little riddle. Remember than divided by is not necessarily speaking about mathematics. What does a fence between two properties do?
A8 also stumped everyone due to an error on my part. There is a key needed. I had not realized that because I am new to this and the site I used for encoding supplied the key automatically (I could have changed it, but didn't realize that was something I could or should do). I will just tell you to look for a a certain crypti# site mentioned by a certain Hero that i have mentioned.

but can not find second part from image. Only string (g÷(Wó;á!Mô=Ev 14 times Fçt wèere is the rest of the clue?). I can not find right tools? O_o
