Wow, I bought this shortly after release and haven't touched it yet. Never seen anyone mention it.

Holy ... this looks amazing. Shocking all the amazing hidden gems there are on Steam. Really a shame they don't find a way to filter the crap off of the platform. It's not like people will spend less ... in fact, they may spend more if they can more easily find great stuff. And it would help the better indie developers to succeed and continue making great games.

I think this system leads into people spending less too, then again Valve has the stats and they seem satisfied with how things are now, considering they're not improving the situation.
I used to check new steam releases every day and wishlist games that looked interesting, after Valve opened the flood gates I just stopped bothering. Now I end up missing on a lot of gems, most of which I'll probably never hear about unless they get bundled. It's a shame really.

They changed "upcoming" and "new releases" to something algorithm based, which generally means you can't find anything anymore and stuff you might want is hidden from you.
Very annoying :/

I think at one point queue gave me a full 5 games with "hentai" in the title within a single queue. At the moment I think the only algorithm being applied is "How much utter garbage can we fit into a dozen consecutive queues and still pretend we have actual games on our platform". The only thing Queue previously gave priority was "New", "High popularity", and "Popular with Friends", as I recall, but it doesn't seem to even be checking those elements anymore.

People use discovery queues outside of sales?

Haha, indeed I'm always too exhausted after the sales to use the queue xD

I think it's pretty much garbage, but willing to put up with it twice a year for some free trading cards. I might find one game I'm interested in per 5 queues, so "yay" I guess?

Maybe Steam knows you too well ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

...and is thus deliberately trolling me with things I won't have the slightest interest in?
Yeah, that for sure does sound like something Steam would do. :P
Though now I kinda want to release a game called Zen Pie Hentai...
It'll be a relaxing game where you complete some kind of very basic puzzle to slowly reveal an enticing, alluring pie..
:fans self: Whew. Is it getting hot in here, or is it just me?

I still do and sometimes stuff slips by still, but yeah there's a lot more muck to wade through these days.

"Popular new releases" generally has good games listed

Thanks! You really do have some great looking games in this section of the train, a lot of which I've never heard of before! :)
