The reason, why I marked the beta key as not received is, that beta keys tend to become invalid, either by design or because the developer revokes them (as this is their right for various reasons, no doubt about that).
The thing is, if that happens unexpected to this key in the future, my account would be flagged, and I'd risk a suspension.
You see - I just follow the https://www.steamgifts.com/about/guidelines.
If you want, you could replace the key with a non-beta, but that's entirely up to you. I don't want to look greedy 🙂

Beta Testing Key because I created was before the game was released; it's similar to the full game and usually only generated by the Dev - it me.
