can you tell the 8th across word? I got correct letters for required link by two sets for that crossword, but they don't fit fully in one.
I had 6th down - Hostile, 7th down- Bicycle, 1st down - Linebacker, 5th across- Mother and 3rd down - Worm.
As you see, link was correct. but I can't figure out the word 8th across. what fits there? SYMBIOTIC fits but then 1st down is wrong so.
From the "I" of Bicycle and the 4 blank spots, I thought the word ended with "istic", which gave me the "T" of Hostile and led me to correct Mother (was mostly blank, but ending with an "O") and Worm (was frog).
Without that assumption, I don't know if I would be able to finish in time.
Just for my curiosity's sake, what is the 9th down word? Youthful?
I actually had 6 down wrong. I thought it was "hateful". Glad to see the answer here though, and it mostly wasn't a big deal since I had all the other letters and just had to go through the alphabet for the last latter in the giveaway code.
