i never understand abandonware. like a game turns 30 years old and its considered abandonware... but music only becomes abandonware after 90 years. why are games not also 90 years? there is music in all games so that music should bind the game to a 90 year copyright

1st of all, there is no law about regulation for this. So, it's tolerate for some publisher/creator, it's forbiden for other like Lucas'Art for exemple. Secondly, you can't compare music, which is playable easily despite time flying and old games from DOS that a majority of peoples can't run nowdays due to the qwick obsolescence of micro-computer. Even Music in game can't be run easily. We are in a spirit of conservation and share of something that will disappear. I have meet Jordan Mechner, in a retrogaming Show in France, and talk to him of our work. He says he was happy to see his work still available to run for the new generation of gamer.
