Have you even read my text in 46 seconds :O? This doesnt really answer my question "And if there were once given away games, how can I easily found this out?" now does it?

A good way to find out is to type it into the search bar when creating a giveaway. If you can't find it, it's either been free/ not added.
Unless you want to take the extra time to search through that list of free gamesWhich I'm too lazy to go and post a link to

You got a REALLY fast answer, I would be a little more gracious for the help.

I suppose the website keeps some kind of blacklist to exclude them from the API search. Couldnt it be implemented to just display a message "this game was free" or something? Or at least put that blacklist list up somewhere?
An unofficial list would be a big help tho :). Now im always usure if the game was free or just cant be found in the search list. Advent & Adventures of Shuggy arent tagged as given away on barter :/.

I understand your suggestion and it would be new user friendly as you said. I don't know it will be added or not but if you want a list for now here you look at this, https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/pJRbR/can-we-have-a-list-of-games-that-cannot-be-created-as-giveaway-unofficial-list-inside
Edit: 30 sec late :(

It not being on top is sg's way of telling you it was given away.

A list is nice - but actually, something saying that you can't give away game XY would be much more comfortable. And it might even prevent people from choosing a similar title if they don't find the game they are trying to give away.
It would also be a nice addition, if on creating a giveaway the tool would tell you if a game is on the bundle list or not. There's also a list for that, even an official one, but it would be nice to know on creating without having to check before.

Yes, thank you all for the answers :). I think it still would be a good idea to implement a message for it. But I will take not finding the game as the hint it was once free.
Its a shame those games cant be given away, there are some on the list I would've liked.

You can't create a giveaway for them, but you can drop them as many people do daily

I'm trying to create giveaways for certain games, but i cant seem to succesfully find the game to giveaway in the huge lists.
For instance, when trying to give away Advent, I type Advent in the Select a Game field, but it returns 176 results and Advent doesnt seem to be in them. So moving on the the next title; Adventures of Shuggy, i get returned 2336 results, which is to many to check. But Adventures of Shuggy isnt on top.
I've tried pasting in the steam url, but it cant seem to find games based on that.
I understand games that have been once given away cant be given away on this site. But my games only come from bundles or are excess steam gifts or something, so I dont know which games were once given away or not. So if that is the case a message saying "This game has been given away" or something would be nice.
What is the problem in these cases? How to fix them? And if there were once given away games, how can I easily found this out?
