Men are great
No one was hostile. He pointed everything out in a passive-aggressive manner. Which is the same way most would say it.
This was unimportant and it serves to just derail the conversation. Just because "it happens" doesn't mean that subsequently criticism shouldn't "just happen".
I don't think anyone holds anything against you personally (I can only speak for myself though). Instead, I think the criticism was actually directed towards that mindset of not talking about the subject and while not doing it, being actually aggressive.

My father raised me in that way. To treat everyone alike, like he did. Not to judge people by their appearence in any way, but their actions. And I have to say I hate it when people do not. I mean humantiy should be matured enough by now, I mean we are here for thousands of years. And still it seems like most people left their minds in the stoneage xD
Although most people I met who judge people by their gender, colour or whatever, seem to be less educated than others. I could be wrong, but maybe we should really pay more attention for the generations to come once and for all.

It's funny...I only put 2+2 together a few days ago who she is/was.

Since this isn't your first nick I object to your choice in the name of logic.
Edit: This was supposed to be a funny remark but in retrospect, I realize it's not even slightly as amusing as it sounded in my head. I'll let my comment stand as a proof of my foolishness for younger generations...

Rather brave of you to make a topic like this but I guess it's one of the occasions where it's advantageous being a woman.

When I was a kid, like 6 years old, I remember driving by a "Women and Children's Shelter" and asked what it was. When they told me it was for women and children who needed help with housing/food/work it already mystified me at that young age as to why men were ostracized from being given help in the same situation.

Finally a view on the other side - from a woman. We need more like you. Thanks!
Here, just have a good look everyone... everyone is just laughing about it, nobody gives a shit but just laughs. (And this was on national TV, in almost every weekly segment with them, often more than once). Now change roles... just imagine the outcry.
Just watch...

I liked the thread. Just no more piracy analogies please.

I liked your imperfect thread. Injustice comes from many sources. I am glad that you brought up some of my own concerns and tried to articulate them. #IMATTERTOO

I am sorry you had to eliminate the sources (and almost the thread) because idiots complaining and attacking you. Personally, I liked the thread a lot, because people could post very interesting viewpoints and comments.
I think you should post the thread as before. Let haters hate.
And, again, welcome to my whitelist.

With no OP, existing discussion loses any potential value. You either master the thread or close it.
Don't know for sure why exactly you are closing it and why you created it in the first place, but if you create a discussion about something deeply important to you, be strong and defend it. Sources/arguments proven to be weak? Try to find better ones if you believe in this, why not. If you wanted a discussion, answer to serious people for real.

Nothing was proven weak, that's the issue. Look through the thread and most arguments are based on feelings and opinions.
The issue was that she got bombarded. I wouldn't have closed the thread down or even deleted anything, but I also don't care enough about my public image.
This stuff obviously meant a lot to her. She put herself out there, did it really well as well in fact and in return she got angry, petty people.
This discussion lost nothing. People still talked and they still probably will remember it to an extent. That is if they actually wanted to learn anything. If not, then the conversation meant nothing for them to begin with.

My grandfather committed suicide over 20 years ago. After researching male suicide I created a thread with information that got to me related to male issues. It was a shit thread. Now there is no thread. I'll just stop trying.
