Whenever the giveaway creator posts anything as a description, I take the time to respond. If they won't bother, they're not in it for the conversation, and turns out they usually ignore comments anyway. So, pick and choose where you comment what. It's not like a blanket ban on "ty" posts will solve the problem. I've even seen private giveaways with 300 comments by the same person, trying to pad their ratio. That's not any better, is it?

I enter a lot, I don´t write anything. I am thankful, but I will write it, when I win. Now there is too much entries to spam everywhere "thx" or anything alse.

Everyone thanks in their own way. I think it's better to at least say "ty" or "thx" than just enter and not say anything at all. I personally read the description, if it asks something / it's someones birthday / first giveaway etc. I congratulate them, other than that I usually just say "thanks" as well.

I'm trying to always say soething more, most often why it's a great game or why I want it. It might not do much, but for me, anything warmed more than a simple thanks (Althoug it was always nice to see a grateful comment, no matter what it said)

"thx."
HAH, I GOT YOU GOOD D'INT I?!
EDIT 2.0: On a more serious note, please don't comment like this. People who choose to give freely deserve more than an abbreviated form of thanks.
Give generously, thank thoughtfully.
