I never really looked into the game. The hype train didn't even seem to get warmed up for ELEX, and at a glance it looks like a generic action-based big-budget title. I'm sure there is more to it than that, but pretty pew-pew games tend to end up being pretty poopoo, so I never took the time to really check. \:3/
It might just be a marketing strategy fail, or perhaps they just decided not to pour tons of cash into advertising. It's hard to tell with how we're used to games with big budgets going totally OTT on pre-selling their stuff.

I hope they didn't skimp on the bugs or dodgy animations or user-unfriendliness, you can't have a Piranha Bytes game without at least a little of that... :)
Always a lot of heart, though... :) Even when something's broken, you can see they actually care about the game they are making... :)

Interesting, is that a real Steam key, with "BMP" in it? I assume after 17 hours someone's tried it, and said nothing... :(
Hmmm, I know there's no letter "U" in Steam keys, so I guess that's as close as you can get... :) Wonder if I can find one...

Just yesterday I got the message that it is available now. I have great hopes in it. I really enjoyed the Gothic series but only played the first Risen. I still have a key for Risen 3 which I will activate, once I find the time to play it. That said I won't take part in any of your giveaways since yeah it certainly will be bundled till I find the time to play it properly. As it happened with so many other of my wins. - All great games I really want to play but don't find the time. :(

Don't people usually give away brand new games to promote umm, whatever it is people promote around here? Youtube channels or Steam groups or dodgy key resellers that are exactly the same as ebay and I like money so shut up? :)
And ELEX is a brand new one, so there should be piles of giveaways for it somewhere, right?
But I checked the giveaways page, and there's nothing. :( Maybe there's some region-restricted ones? Or for private groups?
Guess everyone's expecting it to be in a bundle soon? Or maybe thinking it will be buggy or half-finished or a train wreck? :)
Yeah, I dunno either, waiting for a nice big discount myself. :) I mean, I didn't even buy the new Prey or Dishonored 2 or Divinity: Original Sin 2 yet, why roll the dice on this? :)
