I don't play Overwatch but using some knowledge from CSGO I would hazard a guess that your ping measurement is the reason. Where abouts are you? Do you also queue with someone else?

See in CSGO you can select the highest acceptable ping when doing a competitive match. So you will only join a server that under that ping measurement.

Example, if you play in Australia but Overwatch only has servers in China, Europe and US, then your ping is going to be very high, and the setting will probably block you from finding any match what so ever.

If you are having issues finding matches quick, means your region or ping is not suitable for the game or game servers. Could be your region lacking population, which leads to slower matchmaking. This is a common issue with multiplayer games these days, but it's kinda of a bad sign if its happening with overwatch. Might be time for them to make the game free to boost those numbers.

Quick Play CLASSIC? The one in Arcade? That's your problem then. Try queuing for QP role queue instead.
