I just looked at my bank online, and it's saying $16-17 worth of stuff from bought from Steam.
Steamgames.com (followed by a number)

Either Steam is fucking with me, or someone has managed to access my shit.
What do I do?

  1. Make a ticket at Steam about it
  2. Contact your bank about the issue
  3. Change or try to get a new bank account

Check out this thread on Steam discussions. Someone else had a similar problem as you. Better contact your bank.

Just did. They will cancel my debit card, and send a replacement 1, as well as investigate on where the money went, as well as getting it back.

Although, when I opened the website, it took me exactly to Steams store.

steamgames(.)com gave me a redirect to the steam store, so it is the steam store, at least to my knowledge.

There are some phishing sites that would look just as legitimate ones that they impersonate - but there would be slight discrepancies here and there, and most notable in the spelling in the link.
If you really did any purchases from Steam - they would show in your Account Details in Steam client - would they be Store transactions for Your account (adding Wallet falls in this category), or Store Gift transactions, or In-Game transactions.

That's just how it comes up when you buy stuff from the Steam store. It is legit.

for me it shows on statement as STEAM GAMES SteamPowered.COM. I would say it's different from what OP wrote.

Checked my previous purchases just to make sure and I've got a mix of STEAMGAMES.COM and STEAMPOWERED.COM. So, yeah, once again, it's legit.
Edit: In fact some of them that are different were bought the same day just at different times. Both bought from the Steam Store in the Steam program.

Do you use Ambien? My Mom does, and she's been known to send emails in the middle of the night that she doesn't remember. =)

Wtf is this?: You have previously submitted forms to us for U.S. tax purposes. This information has been stored securely and may not be erased.

I would image he is checking his profile/account info to remove/change his card info. That statement is there.

This has to do with the community market, doesn't it?

hmmm... did you just submit a required form to be able to make more market listings? (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say...)
Or just added new card to payment methods?
If yes - then maybe it's a "secure" transaction" for clearance and it will be removed after everything confirmed? But in this case it should be in pending transactions, and not in posted... But again - might depends on the card you are using.
P.S. And again - usually "securing" transactions fall in the range of few cents to $1, not over $10...

those sort of transactions are rarely more than a dollar. Certainly not 15-18 posted in the OP.

^^Yes, if you're in the U.S. and you sign up to sell stuff on the market, Steam reports your sales so they can be taxed. Could be about that.

Then it shouldn't be this - if they would verify it they would do it right away and not after so much time.
So just check your account details in Steam client - and if you can't find any transactions anywhere there for that amount - then do what RexFrix said.
